An application assistant for young adults 

For young carers across Australia, a little help (financial or otherwise) goes a long way. That’s why the Australian government established the young carer’s bursary. 

Lumeo’s job? To produce and animate a series of four explainer videos aimed at guiding young adults through the bursary application process. 

“We brought back a character we’d used in previous Carers Australia animations, to guide and encourage viewers through the process and to unify it with the other Carers Australia explainer videos the applicants would’ve seen in the series,” Lumeo producer Indi said.“We deliberately kept the visual movement simple so we didn’t detract from the key information on screen.”

Another challenge? Creating characters and icons to represent different stages or eligibility criteria - like a graduation cap to represent uni students being eligible. But we think they pulled it off pretty neatly!
