MYOB asked Lumeo to produce an animated video showing its support for buying local, as well as a competition it was holding for businesses in need of a major makeover.

Small business owners are the heroes of our economy, so what better way to execute this than to depict them as anything but small? We took the iconic 'superhero suit underneath the work shirt' motif, applying it in everyday settings familiar to all of us.

Move over Wonder Woman, Superman and Batman – make way for the coffee barista, the sparkie and the hairdresser: everyday heroes, whose efforts too often go unnoticed.

“MYOB is a great, unique brand. It’s about serious business-related stuff, but it approaches it with a relaxed attitude,” said Lumeo’s animator. “This is clear even in its name itself – Mind Your Own Business. It’s smart, chilled and fun…and I think the light-hearted tone and vibrant comic book animation styles we used in this clip reflects that.”
